“Investment opportunities for Turkish business people in Uzbekistan”

Guest of the Commercial Diplomacy program with Mete Sohtaoğlu in EKOTÜRK TV, Turkey-Uzbekistan Business Council President Izzet Ekmekçibaşı, explained the details of investment and cooperation opportunities in Uzbekistan for Turkish business people.
Uzbekistan, one of the Republics of the Soviet Union, declared its independence in 1991 under the name of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was a country without a commercial and political diplomacy for a long time. However, since 2016, facilitating practices and incentives have been started to be applied in terms of imports, exports, taxes, customs and visas in order to open up to investments and development.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by saying ‘we have a historical ties of affection with Turkey and we need to improve it with commercial activites’ stated that they are behind Turkish business people.
With the protocols signed between Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Uzbekistan, necessary steps have been taken to deepen the cooperation developed on the basis of strategic partnership in the banking sector, industrial investments, livestock and agriculture sectors, sports and education facilities, infrastructure and superstructure construction investments.
