Cultural centers are the structures established to enable the interactions required by the social life, to bring together artistic and cultural activities, each of which has its own characteristics, with a holistic goal, and to create a focal point for these activities. In the design of these structures, in order to promote the national culture, it is aimed to carry out works to develop demonstrations, meetings, exhibitions, educational and intellectual activities, to meet them with the public and to transfer them to future generations.
Requested by the Ministry of Historical Heritage and Culture of the Republic of Guinea, the Congress and Culture Center Project, which is planned to be constructed in the city of Conacry, was designed by BKA Architecture in 2018 and the Function Scheme was created as follows in line with needs and requests.

LARGE HALL “Concert and Conference Hall” – For 1000 SPECTATORS : 4.500 m2
SMALL HALL “Multipurpose Hall” – For 200 SPECTATORS : 670 m2

The building, which has a total construction area of 18.000 m2, has a “Multipurpose Hall” for 200 people, as well as a “Concert and Conference Hall” for 1000 people. In order to support the salons where spatial qualities are different but conceptual stances are similar; are devised seminar halls, foyer and exhibition halls. In the building, which is intended to be the highest in social use, there are areas for workshops, association rooms and administrative units in the interior space enriched by the inner garden. In the facade design, heat and light control is provided by creating a second wall formed in the structure with perforated metal. During the planning, the inner garden, located in the center of the building, allows sunlight and nature to let in.
