İzzet Ekmekçibaşı: Gentes Group of Companies was established in 1992. We have signed important contracting projects in Turkey and abroad for 22 years. As a group, from the very first day we continue our work in a structure that has become the symbol of the trust it has created with the facilities, buildings and services offered to its employers, using modern, technological, information and management systems required by the era in all activities we have carried out. In this sense, I believe that we, as Gentes, successfully represent Turkish contracting in the international arena.

In which regions did you work abroad?

We have signed various types of projects in different regions, like Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Libya and Iraq. These include different structures such as shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, residences and industrial facilities, and we continue to undertake new projects.

What are the details of Gorky Gorod Apart Hotel project?

Gorky Gorod, designed to host the participants at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, is located at a short distance to the Black Sea and at the foot of the Caucasian mountains. The project, which is unique in Russia and the world, attracts guests to the region all four seasons. Within the scope of Gorky Gorod, hotel, apart hotel and restaurant chains, spa centers, shops and night clubs have been built.

“We designed the second floor of the project particularly for disabled guests”

Gorky Gorod Apart Hotel (Apart Hotel No. 6) was designed as a basement + 5 floors. The project, with a construction area of 15,320 square meters, has 96 rooms. The building is divided into 4 zones and has 4 main entrancs. The ground floor has been arranged to place shops or markets. Areas between the 2nd and 5th floors were designed as an apart hotel. We designed the second floor particularly for guests with disabilities. The hotel facade, which was designed in accordance with the concept of the general appearance of the Olympic village, became the most popular and subject to news in all projects due to its design and application success. We, as Gentes, have accomplished a great success by completing the construction of Apart Hotel in a short period of 11 months.

Olympic Village Central Kitchen Project

The Olympic Village Central Kitchen Project, designed to produce food for athletes and guests at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, was designed as a basement + 3 floors. It has a construction area of 5,700 square meters. The Olympic Village Central Kitchen, with its modern interior design and the latest equipment, has a meal production capacity of 12, 000 people a day. As Gentes, we completed the project completely and delivered it to the business in a very short time as 3 months.
